Fairy Lily performs best in lightly shaded areas.  It will tolerate full sun with lots of summer water.   It spreads by small bulbs and blooms in the late spring and early summer.  It is easy to grow, takes little care and naturalizes in many soils.  Zephyranthes can also be used in streams/ponds, but be careful not to submerge the foliage.  You may find this plant referred to as Zephyr Lily.
