Bog sage is a tall, fast growing sage that benefits from regular water.  This Salvia should be confined by either  a root barrier, by planting in a container, or by use of drip irrigation.  It spreads by underground runners if water is present.  The bloom time begins in the spring and continues through the summer.  Because it grows close to 6 feet high, it must be placed in an area that it is able to reach its full potential.  It is one of the easiest plants to grow and is stunning in full bloom.
