Salvia reglal Royal' has large orange red flowers that bloom in the late spring and through the summer.  It is used as an  specimen plant or among other shrubs.  Because it is winter deciduous, it is rarely seen in large plantings.  The light green mint shaped leaves are different from many other sages.
